COMMENT: Williams was neither a friend of Boris Lurie nor he had any knowledge of the NO!art movement before he was hired by Gertrude Stein as a testamentary alterator. His first meeting with Boris was on Boris deathbed at the hospital. What a wonderful adventure for such a takeover of a low-income-estate!

Press release:

FOCUS [Munich] . . . Today the foundation named after Boris Lurie administers his estate. William says, only a few have been sold of the approximately 3000 works. This would have allowed them to assess the value of the works. In the future, Lurie's art is going on a journey round the world. According to the museum, this exhibition is the largest to have been shown posthumously. The show runs until the end of July. At the beginning there is a quote from the artist. It says: "If you have eyes and can think, you will see something new here."dpa

Jüdische Allgemeine [Berlin]: . . . By the way, contrary to his anti-commercial positions, Lurie had successfully speculated on the stock market. William says, when he died in 2008, he left around 100 million US dollars, but he has no inheritances. His assets as well as around 3000 paintings, of which Lurie had never sold one and some of which are in great need of restoration, went to the foundation. "If my art is not shown, it is as if I had not lived at all," Lurie said at the time.

Tagesspiegel [Berlin]: . . .Foundation takes action against Lurie's friends . . . But the "Boris Lurie Art Foundation" has registered the term as a trademark and is taking action against other "NO!art" artists and friends of Lurie, including Dietmar Kirves, who runs an extensive encyclopedia of the group on the Internet and reports that the foundation is accusing him of infringing on their intellectual property and is threatening him with legal action. . . . The Berlin retrospective is the beginning of an offensive, the starting point of a worldwide exhibition tour. The value of Lurie's paintings increases. Dietmar Kirves accuses the foundation of hardly promoting young artists who are close to "NO!art", as Lurie expressly demanded. When asked about the current scholarship holders, board member Anthony Williams was unable to name any names at the press conference on the exhibition.

Dear Mr. Kirves:

Our firm is counsel to the BORIS LURIE ART FOUNDATION (the "Foundation"). As you may know, the Boris Lurie Art Foundation is an organization that provides art-related services to preserve and promote the legacy of Boris Lurie and the NO!ART movement. In connection therewith, the Foundation has longstanding trademark rights in the NO!ART TRADEMARK (the "Mark") and owns numerous international and U.S. trademark registrations and applications. The Mark is very valuable to the Foundation and, as a result, the Foundation has developed specific guidelines relating to any and all uses of the Mark and assiduously polices the use of the same.

It has recently come to our attention that, despite the Foundation's rights in and to the Mark, you have registered the domain name (the "Domain Name"), which is confusingly similar to the Mark. Please note that the manner of your registration and use of the Domain Name, in our opinion, constitutes "bad faith" under the ICANN Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy. Accordingly our client will be entitled to expedited transfer of the domain name registration via ICANN arbitration.

To that end, our client demands that you immediately take any and all action required to transfer the registration of the Domain Name, as well as any and all other domain names comprised of our client's names or marks or variations thereof that you have registered, to the Boris Lurie Art Foundation, If we do not receive express written confirmation of your compliance by March 15, 2011, our client will pursue other legal remedies.

Please note that this letter is made without prejudice to any other rights or remedies that may be available to the Boris Lurie Art Foundation. Nothing contained herein should be deemed a waiver, admission or license by the Boris Lurie Art Foundation, and the Boris Lurie Art Foundation expressly reserves the right to assert any other factual or legal positions as additional facts come to light, or as the circumstances warrant.

Very truly yours,
Anthony Williams

COMMENT: This fucked up Lawyer is a menial of Gertrude Stein. They both changed Lurie's Last Will. I work more than 30 years together with Boris Lurie to bring NO!art on the light. Now they work against Lurie's ideas with the stolen money from him. What a wonderful fortune in history. Very truly your Dietmar Kirves.
